Are you brave enough to join Ghost Hunter Tours on a full blown ghost hunt at one of the countries reported most haunted locations? We will take you on an investigation of this very dark and scary location and we will attempt to make contact with the spirits that reside within it tunnel network!
Haunted history:
The hauntings have been a frequent occurrence at Fort Amherst - shadow figures are seen often, voices heard in your ears like someone is whispering right next to you and most horrible footsteps follow you.
People have heard the sounds of children crying and a woman wailing regularly. There also seems to be a very active presence in the tunnels that doesn’t seem to shy away from making themselves known. poltergeist activity is also rife within the tunnels
The apparition of a soldier has been witnessed also by visitors and staff and people have often had to wipe small hand prints of their backs upon leaving the tunnels, as if they'd been touched by a small child.

Very disappointed
Arrived and the actual tunnels were closed off - no comms in advance and had to make do with some poor make shift storage areas instead.
They split us into two groups but for some reason all the fancy equipment seemed to go to the other group and we got basic Ouija board, table tipping and dowsing rods to use. Whereas the other group got something newly invented by one of the team and a light board as well as the basics we had and seemed to get into other areas we weren't taken.
Really really disappointed, won't bother going on another one if thats how their tours are run. Shockingly bad.

Tunnel was closed - very disappointing
Not Ghost Tours fault, but the tunnels were closed so we had to make do with some other areas. It wasn't what we paid for though so very disappointed as it was advertised specifically for the tunnels not some other less eventful areas.
Having been on a number of other locations with the team, our group left feeling very let down by the experience as all of the other locations we'd been to previously were fantastic but this location felt unorganised... again I think this was more the locations fault than the team as they probably had to make do with what they got. Such a shame though.
Response from tour operator on September 12, 2022:
Good evening, sadly on our arrival to the location we found out that the venue had double booked and the other booker of the venue were building a film set inside the tunnels and had left the area in a unfit state for people to walk around in the dark - they had created a health and safety nightmare inside the tunnels. Faced with this and less than an hour before our guests were due to arrive we only had the unrestored part available to us and that's what the team decided to do, their other option would have been considering the time to just turn people away at the door and cancel the night. With such a short time from finding out the location had been double booked and guests arriving they did a pretty amazing job of making the event happen. We were very angry to say the very least with the venue for doing this to us and our guests without telling us. We are gutted that the night wasn't what you were hoping for but hopefully now you can see the challenges the crew faced on Saturday night. Please accept our apologies and we hope you will join us again - we certainly will look forward to investigating with you again
