We found about this ghost detection device after reading an article where a journalist used one at Chillingham Castle, one of the most haunted places in the UK.

The device - which the creators say gets its power from cracked quartz - shows as green when there is no activity around, turns blue if there is an "angel" present, and turns red if there is a ghost in the area.

It has three operational modes: search mode is used to manually check the area, automatic search which scans the area every 10 minutes, and barrier mode which allegedly protects you from spirits somehow.

We found these devices on eBay for around US$50 plus shipping from a seller in Japan.
