Find out for yourself with Cockatoo Island’s after-dark Ghost Tour! Led by a knowledgeable guide, you’ll search for ghosts in historic (and, some would argue, haunted) buildings, rarely open to the public. Wielding a K-II EMF reader and a pendulum (devices used in paranormal detection), our guide will test your mettle with hair-raising paranormal tales and macabre true stories, including grisly murders, botched prison escapes and episodes of gang violence.

Known in the Dharug language as Wareamah, meaning "women's land", Cockatoo Island is a former convict penal establishment and naval shipyard, located in the heart of Sydney Harbour.
Cockatoo Island is a source of intrigue and inspiration for visitors owing to its heritage buildings, distinctive terrain and panoramic views.

This is for adults aged 18 years and older.
Tours will proceed regardless of weather conditions except in cases of extreme weather. Participants will be notified if the tour is cancelled and a full refund of the ticket price will be made.
What to bring/wear
Please wear suitable and sensible walking shoes. The Harbour Trust advises that high heels, thongs and loose sandals are not recommended to wear during tours. We recommend that guests bring a torch as the tour is conducted in the dark, and sections of walkways on Cockatoo Island can be uneven.
The tour is two hours in duration and involves a steep incline, some uneven surfaces and is not suitable for mobility scooters.
Tickets are non-refundable, transfers can be made up to seven (7) days prior to the tour date.
